Real Estate sales got off to a relatively slow start with only 26 single family sales reported. For the most part, this was due to a lack of inventory. The weather also likely played a role. We expect sales numbers to increase in February. The average sale price of a single-family home in January was $595,348, up 11% from the same month last year. The 12 months to date average price is $539,644 which represents a year over year price increase of 6%. There were 135 single family active listings at the end of the month compared to 119 last January.
